Hello, my father's name is Alfred Vernon Townsend, he was born in August of 1936. His father's name was John Townsend, and his mother was born Lilly Pearl Perry. John Townsend died just a few months before Alfred was born. Lillie Perry Townsend moved to Terre Haute, In after the death of her husband John. John also had a son by the name of Lance or Rance Townsend, I am not sure which name, but my dad's (Alfred)obituary said Lance Townsend. My father Alfred died in an automobile accident in October of 1958 in Terre Haute, IN. I am looking for my uncle. I know that he came to Terre Haute, IN to attend my father's funeral, but did not make it, the funeral was over before he arrived in Terre Haute. I was told he left Terre Haute and went to Cleveland, OH. I have been searching for my family for the past 35 years. If there is anyone out there that recognizes these name, please contact me. I had to go to Elizabethtown, KY a few months ago and bury my grandmother's sister Mary Perry. PLEASE HELP!! I have children, and grandchildren and I want them to know their family, who they are, and where they came from.
